Little Sapling Toys

Based in Eureka, CA, Little Sapling Toys is an environmentally-friendly toy maker that makes wooden rattles, teething rings, puzzles and more by hand. They wanted a simple, modern logo that incorporated a reference to nature.

By choosing a classic serif typeface, I referenced the woodworking tradition they are continuing, but through the color choices and style of the minimal illustration, I kept the logo modern and clean. The company has been using the logo for three years and continues to be thrilled with it and the additional projects I've designed for them.
